Hard-Fi are an Indie rock band from Staines, Surrey, England, a suburban location that has significantly influenced their musical style and lyrics. Their debut album, 'Stars Of CCTV', was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
'Once Upon A Time In The West' is the sophomore album from Surrey-based socio-political rockers Hard-Fi. Once again, Richard Archer's bittersweet dispatches from the suburbs are set to a backdrop of swaggering, Clash-esque rhythms and programmed beats, but this time around the songs are bigger, bolder and better, making for a better listening experience allround. Includes the single 'Suburban Knights'. The album's cover artwork has received some negative publicity after the band opted, against the advice of their major label company, to not have any artwork on it. The band's frontman, Richard Archer, stated the band wanted "to break the rules".
