Good quality 9/10. Audio is really screwed up after using ConvertXtoDvd to convert to dvd file (got message: error while decoding stream #0.0), but no audio is perfect when viewed with VLC player on computer. Any one has the same problem?
the video quality is great,
the audio is alright when watching it on your pc, however
if you burn it to dvd, to watch on the tv, the audio sounds like it is in slow motion, only good if you can lip read
Yes, same problem using ConvertX. I tried converted it to AVI with AlltoAvi (the only reliable converter out there except possibly RiverPast Video Cleaner), but it notoriously detests MKVs with H264 and I ended up with excellent video, but no audio track. (ConvertX would be a greater tool if it allowed adding audio tracks.)
Also, this movie is not perfectly clean, since the group uploading it embedded their own credits in big red letters at the beginning of the film. It also has English subtitles for some reason, which is dumb, frankly, since the film is in English (but the subtitles can be disabled).
I greatly appreciate the trouble taken to make this film available so I don't want to seem uncharitable, but why the hell can't people just use AVI. MKV and OGM are fine if you need dual audio tracks and subtitles, otherwise, I don't see the point in using these formats when most people want to convert a file to DVD.
Anyone know of a program that will combine demuxed tracks (MPEG4 or AAC, MP3, and SRT) successfully to AVI?
I completely agree with Dr Sleep. Why do people upload files that require hours of work to convert? I had the same problem with both the subtitles and audio. I gave up, as I don't want to watch on my PC. More people should follow the example of aXXo....always excellent quality and no extra work to play.
FYI > I believe the commercial DVD release is mid November 2007...not too long to wait for quality.
first of all good description DrSleep, second of all....why dont you use normal formats rather than these files you release that have WAY to many problems, when you have ".AVI" with no problems right now, i mean honestly, why would you rease a movie title that requires a completely different player and codec pack to play, my opinion?, make a damn file that you just click on and it plays with no errors....
