Lily Rose Beatrice Allen [born May 2nd 1985 in Hammersmith, London] is an English singer-songwriter. Her single 'Smile' reached No.1 on the UK Singles Chart in July 2006. In December 2006, her debut album 'Alright, Still' was voted the third best album of the year by Mixmag. In 2007, it was nominated for the award of Best British Album at the BRIT Awards and for Best New Artist at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. The album was nominated for a 2008 Grammy Award in the category of Best Alternative Music Album. 'Alright, Still' has sold over 2,600,000 copies worldwide.
'Not Fair' is the second single recorded by Lily Allen for her second studio album 'It's Not Me, It's You'. The single was released for digital download on March 20th 2009, and is due to be officially released on May 11th 2009. 'Not Fair' charted two months before the release date at No.200 in the UK. After it was released digitally on March 20th 2009, the song rocketed up the UK Singles Chart and on March 29th it debuted in the Top 40 at No.16. The music video for 'Not Fair' was directed by Melina Matsoukas and filmed in Los Angeles in February 2009. The video shows Lily performing the song on the Porter Wagoner Show, starting off with a snippet from the Porter Wagoner show from the 1970's to present Lily Allen [dubbed] by saying "Now its time for the pretty little lady to come forth with a real pretty song. And its called 'Not Fair' lets make her welcome, Miss Lily Allen!". Allen is revealed to be singing alongside a country and western band, including mullet-wearing guitarists and backing singers/dancers. Lily performs the song into a microphone and can be seen dancing around the stage and looking back at a certain band member, implying that the song she is singing is about him. This is the uncut version of the song with EXPLICIT LYRICS.
