Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou [born June 25th 1963 in London, UK], best known as George Michael, is a two-time Grammy Award winning, English singer-songwriter, who has had a career as frontman of the duo Wham as well as a soul-influenced, solo pop musician. He has sold over 110 million records worldwide, encompassing 12 British No.1 singles, 7 British No.1 albums, 10 US No.1 singles, and 2 US No.1 albums.
'Fastlove' is a song by George Michael, released by Virgin Records in the UK and Dreamworks Records in the U.S. in 1996. The song was the second of six singles to be taken from George's comeback album Older, which was his first studio album in six years and only the third of his solo career. 'Fastlove' was an energetic tune about the need for gratification and fulfillment without concern for commitment. The song reached the No.1 hit single spot in the UK Singles Chart, where it stayed for three weeks. It also reached No.1 in Australia and Italy. In the U.S., 'Fastlove' peaked at No.8, and has since become a classic in George Michael's catalog. This would go on to be the last time that George Michael reached the top 10 in the U.S. charts.
The music video beings with a flickering virtual reality image of a woman on a bed followed by a man sitting in a black chair using a high-tech remote control device to "flip" through a variety of sexualized virtual reality characters. We see George Michael in the black chair, which is equipped with speakers. Through out the video, we see a variety of men and women [who display a spectrum of characteristics, including one who is shy, another who is lustful, and another who is a complete emotional wreck] sitting in the chair and using the remote control to summon more sexualized characters. etc.,etc.
