50 years into the future, the Sun begins to die, and the Earth is dying as a result. A team of astronauts are sent to revive the Sun - but the mission fails. Seven years later, a new team are sent to finish the mission as they are Earth's last hope,the Icarus II Mission to explode a weapon generating a supernova within the sun in the last hope of planet Earth. However, when a crew-member commits a mistake in the operation of the aircraft shield, he jeopardizes the survival of the group, but they find the Icarus 1 hidden behind a blind spot and still functioning, they link up with only to find out what had happened on the mission and why it failed.
