'Hannah Montana: The Movie' is the soundtrack to the film of the same name, and was released on March 24th 2009 on Walt Disney Records. On the soundtrack, songs are performed by Miley Cyrus [both as Cyrus and Hannah Montana], Billy Ray Cyrus, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Steve Rushton. The song's 'Butterfly Fly Away', which is performed by Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus, and 'Back to Tennessee', also from Billy Ray Cyrus, appear on his new album, 'Back To Tennessee'. The album debuted at No.2 selling 137,592 copies first week, and after four weeks claimed the No.1 spot. To date the album has sold over 894,000 units in the U.S. The main single released was Miley Cyrus' [credited as herself] 'The Climb', which is her first release to country music radio as a solo artist. The song debuted at No.6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in March and has so far peaked at No.4 on the same chart, after its performance on the eighth season of American Idol. The fifth single, 'Hoedown Throwdown', [also by Miley as herself] was released on March 10th 2009 as a Radio Disney-exclusive single on their iTunes page and has made it to No.18 on The Hot 100. The soundtrack has become the fourth best-selling album in the United States so far in 2009 and is also the first theatrical movie soundtrack to spend seven weeks in the top two since the 'Armageddon' soundtrack in 1998.
